SHORT CV

Hakkı Eskicioğlu graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1973. He received M.Sc. degree from the same department in 1975 and Ph.D. from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Machine Tools Division in 1981. He worked as an Assistant Professor between 1982 and 1984 and Associate Professor between 1984 and 1991 in METU. Between 1988 and 1989 he made a research on AI and Expert Systems in Hannover University, IFW as a visiting staff sponsored by Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation. He became Professor in 1991 and worked for METU until he retired. He joined İzmir University of Economics in May 2015.

His research interest includes CAD/CAM, Process Planning, Machine Tools, Numerical Control and Cutting Optimization. He has written a book, Numerical Control and Machine Tools (in Turkish) which was published by Chamber of Mechanical Engineers. He has many international and national conference and journal papers.
