Kenan Demirel holds B.A. degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Izmir University of Economics and M.A. degree in Media and Communication Science from Ilmenau University of Technology. At present he is at dissertation stage in Communication Research doctoral program at Ege University.
Academic interest he recently has is highly focused on digital self, personal branding, narcissism and consumer attitudes. Besides, his research stream is mainly grounded in a deep interest in explaining and predicting linkages among personal branding and Z generation. At Izmir University of Economics, his primary focus is to bridge the gap between academic exploration and real time professional communication practices.
Apart from professional experience at TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation) and Young & Rubicam, he previously worked in various senior positions at T-Nations, Güngör Group Corporate Consultancy, No1 PR and Advertising Consultancy, Yaşar Holding, American Cultural Association, OYDEM and British Town.
He has been taking charge in social responsibility projects conducted by Turkish Green Crescent, Turkish Association of Advertising Agencies, Greenpeace, TEMA and Turkish Association for Cancer Research and Control since 2011.
