LYNDON C.S. WAY received a PhD in journalism, media and cultural studies from Cardiff University in 2010. Presently, he is an assistant professor of media and communications at Izmir University of Economics. He has published articles and presented papers concerning both popular music’s subversive potential and news representations of Somali piracy and nationalism. He is the book review editor for Journal of Interdisciplinary Music Studies. Present research interests include a continuation of news representations, radio talk and the analysis of popular music and politics.
