Abbas Kenan Çiftçi obtained his undergraduate degree in 1982 from the Eng. Physics Department of Ankara University. He then received his M.A. and PhD degrees in Physics from Duke University in 1987 and 1991, respectively. Until the time he joined the Physics department of İzmir University of Economics as a faculty member, he has continued his academic career as a professor in Ankara University. He has been collaborating with CERN. He is a member of ATLAS and collaboration board members of FCC an CLIC. His research interests include the particle physics phenomenology, accelerator physics, nuclear physics and group theory.
