Dr. Coban graduated from Yildiz Technical University, Department of Environmental Engineering in 2004. In 2009, she got her master degree in Environmental Engineering Program at Yildiz Technical University. In her master thesis, she studied anaerobic treatment of textile wastewater. She worked as a research assistant at Bahcesehir University Environmental Engineering Department from 2008 to 2013. In 2009, she started her Ph.D. studies. In her Ph.D. thesis, she studied drinking water treatment using a nanocomposite membrane. During her Ph.D. studies, she got a scholarship funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and she was a visiting scholar at Rice University (Texas, USA) Civil and Environmental Engineering Department for 9 months in 2012. She completed her Ph.D. studies in 2016 and worked as an R&D Specialist in a private company for one year. She then worked as a part-time instructor at Bahcesehir University Environmental Engineering and Molecular Biology and Genetics departments for one year, instructed "Solid Waste Management", "Urban Water Systems", "Air Pollution and Controlling" and "Microbiology" courses. Her research interests are Water&Wastewater Treatment, Membrane Filtration Technologies, Nanotechnology/Biotechnology Applications and Solid Waste Management. She has been working at Izmir University of Economics Civil Engineering Department since February 2018.
