Born in 1960, Aytul is a graduate of Izmir American High School (ACI) and Boğaziçi University. After 5 years of journalism at Yeni Asır and Sabah dailies, she joined client services at Reklam Moran, Ogilvy & Mather in 1986. She resigned in 1992 and started her own business -Capitol Public Relations. In 2000, WPP fully acquired Capitol PR and Aytul was assigned as the Country Head of Ogilvy & Mather Turkey. In 2001 she was presented 'the most successful woman of the advertising sector' award by Dünya, a reputable business newspaper in Turkey. In the following years she lead the start up of various Ogilvy operations in the Turkish market and chaired Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, Ogilvy Public Relations, OgilvyAction, Ogilvy CommonHealth and RedWorks agencies.
Aytul was elected as the President of the Turkish Association of Advertising Agencies in February 2011, completing her 2-year term in 2013. She also served her membership at the Advertising Board of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance in Ankara between 2007-2013.
Aytul retired in 2018 and continues her part-time teaching at Izmir University of Economics, faculty of communications.
