Born in Ankara in 1980. Obtained technical degree in graphic design and went on to complete bachelor's degree in printmaking and art education. Earned master's degree in printing arts, at Anadolu University. During her time in university, she participated in various collective exhibitions. She has been a guest scholar at Izmir University of Economics since 2006, instructing courses in Printing Techniques, Visual Perception, Drawing Studio, Fundamentals of Color and Graphics, and Illustration. Basak is co-owner of “Fikrie Brand Works” advertising agency/design studio since May 2011, where she is customer relations manager.
