Having graduated from Beşiktaş Anatolian High School in 2013, Batıkan Bulut obtained his bachelor’s degree from Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations as an honor student in 2018. He obtained his master’s degree in the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History at Boğaziçi University with the thesis entitled "Diyanet in the Transnational Field: DİTİB in Germany in the 1980s" in 2020. Batıkan is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Bilkent University, Department of Political Science.

His academic interests are diaspora politics, international migration, identity politics, Turkish politics, and social cohesion policies.
