After completing her undergraduate studies in the Department of International Relations at Bilkent University, Dr. Nazlı Üstünes Demirhan earned her first master's degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics with Jean Monnet scholarship. She then obtained a second master's degree in International Relations from Bilkent University. She completed her Ph.D., focusing on the dynamics of international norms, at Koç University. In 2022-23, she conducted post-doctoral research at Koç University's Graduate School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Dr. Üstünes Demirhan has taught various international relations courses, including Introduction to International Relations and International Organizations. She has presented her research at numerous international conferences and workshops and has published in peer-reviewed journals such as International Studies Review and Alternatives. Her research interests encompass international norms, human rights, and the role of international law in global politics.
