Dr. Diaa Gadelmavla is a professor at the Izmir University of Economics(IUE). He received his Ph.D in astrophysics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, in 2001. In his PhD research, he investigated theoretically the solar and stellar atmospheric heating by Magnetohydrodynamic waves. He spent 12 years at the University of Heidelberg and in industry (Arcor AG & DB-Telematic GMBH – Frankfurt, Germany) as a researcher and as a senior network engineer. He is the author of about 100 publications in international journals with more than 500 citations. His current research activities include solar, stellar heating and oscillations, antennas, RF energy harvesting, and developing mm-waves-based system components such as antennas, filters, and amplifiers for 5G and 6G applications.
