SHORT CV

Born in Izmir, he graduated from Bayrakli Lisesi in 2005, and then studied at the Department of International Relations and European Union at Izmir University of Economics between 2005 and 2010. In 2012, he received his first graduate degree in Political Science from Sabanci University; and after receiving the Jean Monnet Scholarship, he completed his second master’s degree on European Studies at London School of Economics. Since 2013 he has been doing his PhD as a Fulbright student at The New School for Social Research in the Department of Politics. His areas of interest include political theory, critical theory, politics of citizenship and human rights, moral philosophy, and ancient and modern history of political thought. He has publications in Toplum ve Bilim, Ayrıntı Dergi, and Rethinking Marxism.
