After graduating from Middle East Technical University, department of psychology in 2011, started to Experimental Psychology graduate program in Izmir University of Economics and at the same time, she worked as a research assistant in the department of psychology. Upon completion of her masters she continued her PhD studies in Koç University, in the area of cognitive psychology. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Koç University and taught undergrad and grad level courses. Before start teaching in Izmir University of Economics, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in University of Manitoba (Canada) for two years.
