Dr. Görkem Yılmaz received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in industrial engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul (ITU) in 2006 and 2009, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the School of Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia - BarcelonaTech (UPC), Spain, in 2014. From 2015 to 2023, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at Ozyegin University. During his tenure, he also held positions as higher education coordinator and board member of the Applied Research Center of Technology Products research center at Vestel Electronics. Dr. Yılmaz's research interests include mathematical modeling and optimization, data science and analytics, machine learning, strategic capacity planning, supply chain network planning, production planning and scheduling, assembly line balancing, and vehicle routing problems. He has provided consultancy services for companies across various industries to assist in institutionalization progress. Additionally, Dr. Yılmaz is fluent in Spanish and Italian.
