SHORT CV

Dr Gülden Taner Yavuz received her BA and MA degrees in Translation and Interpreting at Hacettepe University. She completed her PhD in 2017 in English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University, where she also worked as a research assistant for 7 years. In 2019&2020, she conducted her postdoctoral research in Applied Linguistics at the University of Warwick (UK), fully funded by TUBITAK (BIDEB2219). She offered BA-level language proficiency, applied linguistics and specialised translation and interpreting courses at Middle East Technical University (METU), Başkent University, Çankaya University and İzmir University of Economics. Her research interests include foreign language learning and teaching, translator and interpreter training, technical translation, and community interpreting.
