Gulsah Yaglidag was born in Izmir. She graduated from Ege University with a B.A degree in English Language and Literature in 1999. Having received her Pedagogical Training Certificate she started her career as an English Instructor in Foreign Languages Department at Ege University in 2000. With a dissertation on 'The Concept of Otherness: Arundhati Roy, Ruth Prawer Jhabvala and Deborah Moggach`s works in the Postcolonial Context', she received her M.A degree in English Language and Literature at Ege University. In 2001 she was awarded the certificate in 'The Teaching of English Grammar to Adults' by The British Council. She is a keen attender of ELT workshops and seminars. She completed a 40-hour-training course on 'Business English' at Ege University in 2003. She presented a workshop entitled 'Suggestopedia in Writing Lessons' in Foreign Languages Department at Ege University in the same year. She attended the 'Business English' course at Aspect Language Institute in New York, U.S.A, for 3 months in 2005 and received a completion certificate at the end of the course. She joined the English Teaching Staff at Izmir University of Economics in 2005.
