SHORT CV

Hüseyin Yener Erköse received his BA degree in International Relations at Koç University, İstanbul in 2000 and his MA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Leeds in 2001. He received his Ph.D. in Modern Turkish History in the Atatürk Institute at Boğaziçi University, İstanbul in 2017. His research engages with the sociology of work and rural sociology. Erköse was a team member of the research titled “Analysis of the Procurement Price of Hazelnuts in Turkey”. This project was financed by the Fair Labor Association and conducted in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the U.S. Department of Labor. Erköse is currently conducting independent research on the work-life balance of software engineers. He is also part of the IEU team for the ''Decent Work in Green İzmir'' project coordinated by the IEU and the University of Sussex. Erköse has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in sociology, history, and international relations in several universities and published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
