Dr. Isinay E. Yuzay received her B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Ege University, Turkey. She pursued her graduate studies in the United States, obtaining both her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Packaging Technology and Polymer Science from Michigan State University. Between 2003 and 2010, Dr. Yüzay served as a research and teaching assistant at Michigan State University. From 2010 to 2015, she continued her academic career at the same institution as a postdoctoral research associate.

Throughout her research career, Dr. Yüzay has contributed to numerous R&D projects supported by Fortune 500 companies and leading U.S. federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). Her work has resulted in two U.S. patents, numerous peer-reviewed publications, and international conference presentations. Dr. Yuzay actively contributes to the scientific community as a reviewer for 21 international peer-reviewed journals indexed in SCI-Expanded, and since 2017, she has been serving as an expert evaluator for European Union Horizon 2020 (H2020) research and innovation projects.

Her research interests include nanoporous advanced materials, eco-friendly biodegradable polymer composites, and sustainable packaging technologies. In recognition of her scientific achievements, she has received several prestigious awards and fellowships, most notably two NSF Scholars Awards in 2010 and 2014 for excellence in scientific research.
