Kazım Doku started his academic career at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design. While his school life continued, he worked on the factory floor in production companies as well as in design work.
He gave part-time graphic design lessons at Adnan Menderes University and part-time courses on automobile design, furniture construction, material knowledge, and three and two-dimensional design programs at Yaşar University, Industrial Design Department.
He has awards in automobile design, graphic design, and packaging design in national and international competitions. These are:
* Audi & Domus Academy Desire Design Competition: 1st place in world
* 4th Peugeot World Design Competition: Finalist
* Ototrend Magazine Automobile Design Competition: 1st place in Turkey
* Şekeroğlu Plastic Packaging Design Competition: 3rd place in Turkey
* Turkey Label Manufacturers Wine Label Competition: 2nd place in Turkey
* Tuyap 2nd Usage Packaging Design Competition: Mention
* Ecocycle Marine Vessels Design Competition: 4th place in Turkey
He has awards, notably the Design Turkey, in the fields of commercialized product designs and graphic design for well-known brands in Turkey. These are:
* E.C.A Combi Boiler Design: Design Turkey “Good Design Award”
* Doğtaş Batman Kid’s Room Design: Tuyap “Design Award”
* Ecomod Electric Vehicle Design: 7th Automotive R&D Project Market and Component Design Competition Entrepreneur Award
In 2018, he established his own design company, Doku Design. He works with leading companies in Turkey. He took on the task of UI design application for the interior and exterior of the car and the industrial design for 2 different projects called mini electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles that are supported by the TUBITAK. He prepared three-dimensional presentation videos of the vehicles before production.
