I received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bosphorus University, İstanbul, Turkey in 1988, the M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir, Turkey in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois in 1998. I am currently an Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir, Turkey. My research interests are in the application of biomedical signal analysis and classification techniques to EEG and ECG signals, investigation of the role of the cerebellum in the generation of EEG/ERP signals, and neural networks.
