Melahat Kızıl was born in Artvin, Turkey .Having graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences (nursing) in 1987, she entered Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts ,Department of Cinema-Television and Photograhpy. She graduated in 1994. She received her first Masters degree from Karadeniz Teknik University, Department of Health Sciences Institute in 2002,(Public Health) and the topic of master's thesis is “Determination of prevelence of enuresis and risk factors in the city of Trabzon’ .She worked as a lecturer in Paramedic program at Dokuz Eylül University between 2004 and 2012. She received her second Masters degree in 2007. The topic of her second master degree is “Photographic associations and their functions in Turkey.She is a Member of Honour (fotoforum) of Society of Trabzon Amateur Photographers. In 2013, she has begun working as a lecturer in Izmir University of Economics. She is still teaching at the department of paramedic.
