SHORT CV

Necla Kayaalp was born in Izmir in 1987. She was graduated from Department of Mathematics, Izmir University of Economics in 2010. After that, she did a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. Her Ph.D. thesis “A new RNA-Seq data classifier based on quantile transformation” was supervised by Prof. Dr. G.Y. Tütüncü. With the scholarship she got from “The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey”, she joined Smyth lab for 8 months as a visiting scientist. She worked in a COVID19 project as a postdoctoral researcher for 8 months in 2020. Her research interests are computational biology, statistical data analysis, fuzzy theory, classification, and biostatistics.
