Dr. Ömer Akgüller successfully completed his undergraduate education in 2007 at the Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics, at Ege University. Continuing his academic career, Dr. Akgüller pursued his master's degree at the Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics, at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and obtained this degree in 2010. He continued his doctoral studies at the same university, receiving his PhD degree in 2016, and has been serving as an associate professor in the Department of Geometry since 2021. Dr. Akgüller conducted his master's thesis research at the University of Paderborn (Germany) and successfully completed his doctoral thesis research at the Free University of Berlin (Germany) as a Berlin Einstein Foundation scholar.
Dr. Akgüller's research covers a wide spectrum from the complex networks of financial markets, classification of image data through deep learning, to the development of new mathematical models for processing 3D point clouds. These studies have been published in various international journals and presented at conferences. Additionally, Dr. Akgüller has taken on roles as a researcher and project manager in many national and international projects.
