She graduated from Ege University Nursing School in 1985. She worked as a general surgery clinic nurse for three years at Dokuz Eylul University Hospital, as a responsible nurse for three years, and as Surgical Units head nurse at the same hospital for the next three years.
She completed his graduate studies in Dokuz Eylül University Health Sciences Institute Public Health in 1991 and in Dokuz Eylül University Health Sciences Institute Surgical Diseases Nursing in 1997. In 2003, he completed the Doctorate Program of Surgical Diseases Nursing at Ege University Health Sciences Institute.
She worked as a research assistant at Dokuz Eylül University Nursing School in 1996-1999, as a lecturer in 1999-2004, and as an assistant professor in 2004-2010. she carried out duties received the title of Associate Professor on 27 April 2010 and professor on 16 June 2015.

She started to work as a professor at Izmir University of Economics on September 01, 2016.
