Taisha Azqueta is a Spanish certified Spanish teacher with a Masters degree from Universidad de Nebrija. She has also completed a course on Spanish as a Foreign Language (from International House, center accredited by Instituto Cervantes) and received training to become evaluator of DELE exams.
She graduated from the Spanish Universidad Pontificia de Comillas with a major in Translation and Interpretation (Spanish, English, Japanese). Afterwards, she did a Master’s degree in International Relations at the Diplomatic School of Madrid (in collaboration with Universidad Complutense). She completed her education with a Post-graduate diploma in Management at the Vrije University in Brussels, and a course on Management of non-profit organisations.
After working for several non-profit organisations and private and public institutions (among which the European Commission), she joined the Izmir University of Economics (IEU) in 2006 as a Spanish teacher. Then she moved back to Spain and the US, and came back to work at IEU again in 2014 and 2023.
