Zehra Funda Savaş Yalçınkaya received her BA in International Relations from Dokuz Eylul University. She received her MA degree in International Relations from Dokuz Eylul University where she graduated with thesis titled “The Evolution of the Responsibility to Protect Doctrine in the Rhetoric and Actions of the Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council”. She completed her PhD degree in International Relations at Middle East Technical University in 2021. During her PhD study, she was a visiting scholar at University of Tehran and University of Bremen. She worked as a research assistant at Department of Political Science and International Relations, Izmir University of Economics between 2011-2019. Her research interests are theories of international relations, foreign policy analysis, Middle Eastern politics and international organizations.
