Elif Elvan Boduroğlu was born in 1976 in Germany. Having graduated from high school in Germany, she returned to Turkey in 1994 and studied at Bornova Anatolian High School. She got her B.A. degree in German Teaching at Dokuz Eylül University in 2000. Prior to her graduation, she got a Diploma in German Language in 1997, obtained the first place in a translation contest called “Young Translators” held by Ankara University in 1997 and got a TÖMER Diploma in English in 1999. She fulfilled her practice teaching at Fatih College in 1999 and Yunus Emre Anatolian High School in 2000. She worked at Beyaz Balon Kindergarten until 2002, and she has been a German instructor at IUE School of Foreign Languages since then. She was the German Language Academic Coordinator at IUE between September 2015 and July 2020.

2010 she received the certificate for the completed one-year-long distance learning at the Goethe Institute in "Methodology and Didactics Of Foreign Language Teaching".
2011 she successfully participated at the examiner qualification TELC German A2, B1 and B2 and acquired the examiner license. The license entitles her to evaluate the expression of the written tests and oral examinations.

Between 2013 and 2020 she was an active member of the Literature Club for Contemporary German Literature at the Goethe Institute in Izmir.
