SHORT CV

Emrah Serbest graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration in 2007 with a bachelor's degree. He then studied finance at the State University of New York and graduated with a masters degree in 2008. Dr. Serbest received his PhD degree in International Finance from Dokuz Eylul University on exchange rate forecasting and international parity conditions in 2016.

Between 2007 and 2011, he worked in the finance departments of Philip Morris International and General Motors Turkey offices. He also worked as a part-time expert evaluator in the European Commission Horizon 2020 SME Inst. program during 2016-2017. Dr. Emrah Serbest has been working as Financial Affairs Manager at Kansai Altan and AkzoNobel Kemipol companies since 2011 and he has been giving part-time lectures at Izmir University of Economics business faculty since 2021.
